Making a shopping list? Checking it twice? This season, the odds are that one or more of these Four+ Days of Supper Shopping are on it: Black Friday (11/29), Small Business Saturday (11/30), Cyber Monday (12/2), and Boxing Day (12/26).  Check out “Buy Maryland” deals this season….every season!

Four More Highlights About the Fall & Winter Holiday Shopping Season

1 | In spite of early enticements, Black Friday is still expected to be the busiest shopping day of the year, kicking off the extended weekend of sales and deal making across Maryland and the rest of the country.

2 | After a slug-life weekend, Monday tends to be the heaviest shopping day of the week. Cyber Monday refers to the way shoppers make their purchases– online – as oppose to the type of gifts and gadgets purchased that day. Mobile shopping this year is predicted to exceed the estimated 70 percent of all sales transacted by phone in ’23.

3 | Planning to treat yourself to a little something-something? Tis still the season of giving, but self-gifting is also trending, including for apparel and self-care products.

4 | You may find that economic uncertainty has triggered more-better shopping discounts…which could trigger level or increase spending instead of a shopping downturn. Of course, expect even bigger sales  the day after Christmas, Boxing Day…if supplies last.

Plus! | Shopping for loved ones in the service, away at school, or who have relocated to an out-of-state retirement community? Tis also the season to surprise them with a taste of home. Small Business Saturday is a big “buy-local” day.
