They could make the day as  stocking stuffers or main gifts for someone on your list and offer that receive now, enjoy later option that extends holiday celebrations beyond the busy season. Interesting, this one: Downtown Frederick gift cards may be used at participating shops, restaurants, or attractions.

 

#3 | Speaking of restaurants, while there may be no restaurant weeks in Maryland in December, venues ranging from carryouts and pubs to fine dining establishments do offer seasonal events and specials. Check out holiday deals and favorites, and be sure to ask if Maryland-made beverages, desserts, and more are on the menu! #4 | Make It To Main Street for special small business shopping incentives, holiday markets, artisan pop-ups, themed shopping nights as well as decorations, music, and activities chock full of holiday magic! What’s on your Main Street? Hagerstown offers a holiday market with artisans, music, and Santa, and the town’s arts and crafts exhibit runs through early January, including a virtual option!

 

#5 | Remember to “buy Maryland” for Giving Tuesday. In addition to cash contributions or donations of your time, this special observance welcomes generosity in all shapes and sizes, including clothing, supplies, and other wish list items! Consider unsung hero organizations that serve your community in addition to major charities. Check their website, give them a call, or drop them an email to learn about their needs for this Tuesday, December 2nd, and beyond. Also, remember to “buy Maryland” where Marylanders help others! For example, the Friendsgiving Celebration Fundraiser & Teen Gift Card Drive at Burley Oak Brewing Company in Berlin will be held this Tuesday at 6pm to benefit Big Brothers & Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore. Plus Burley Oak says, “Come get some holiday shopping done with our talented local artisans,” at the Holiday Market on Sunday, December 14, 1-5pm.
